Paul Wood is a Greenwich, CT based action painter. Paul's work Resolution was featured in the Loft Artists Association Grand Opening show in January 2008. Wood's career began in 2005 when his work Crescendo was featured in the Greenwich Arts Society Homage to Great Masters show. Paul Wood is a Greenwich, CT based action painter. Paul's work Resolution was featured in the Loft Artists Association Grand Opening show in January 2008. Wood's career began in 2005 when his work Crescendo was featured in the Greenwich Arts Society Homage to Great Masters show. Paul's work was also featured in the 2006 and 2007 Art to the Avenue celebration in Greenwich and has been profiled in the Greenwich Time, Greenwich Post and Greenwich Citizen newspapers. Most recently, Paul exhibited at the 2007 Working Studios with Stamford's Loft Artists. Three of his works were shown at the Goodfellas show through the Loft Artists throughout May 2007.
Paul has studied the works many masters of modern art. "It's really Jackson Pollock meets Jasper Johns, only happier," Wood noted of his style. "My passion is the free expression of color in nature and the thrill is getting lost in the painting," he said.
Wood believes his style is unique on the contemporary scene and is thrilled that no two pieces are ever the same. Wood has collectors in California, Connecticut, Massachusetts and Missouri.
