My father was a painter and teacher and fired my passion for art.
We visited gallery after gallery and at home he had a collection of books each one featuring a different artist and together we turned the pages until we knew every page by heart.
I trained in England where I taught art at high school level. however, it was not until I moved to California in the early '90's that I really found what I was searching for.
The intense colors and contrasting shadows had to be captured on canvas.

I teach art to small private groups and most of the students have been with me for years. Most afternoons I can be found painting plein air capturing the fabulous land and seascapes here in Orange County, California. [
