When he began his foray into painting, he started with tempera on board before switching to oil on canvas. Through acquired knowledge and daily practice, bartosz began to paint while in a meditative state. Recently he began exploring yet another art form called wabi sabi, a form of ancient japanese art the embraces the beauty of being worn, used, old and natural. Two layers come together to form his wabi sabi work. The top layer is composed of torn canvas which is painted in oil and stain using rocks, twigs and other organics.
The style and method of creation is itself a work of art. The result, with its depth, relief, and various shades and textures has been praised by those who understand the meaning of wabi sabi, as wall as the curious souls who have found their way to one of his recent exhibits. Thought his constant studies he continues to reinvent himself and his art. [
