Member since: Mar-13-06Registered in: United States | Creativity in whatever artform seems to come from an internal need to manipulate materials into a pleasing outcome. I hope I never outgrow that internal need. I have a B.S. degree in Art from Ball State University with a specialization in weaving. I have been a fiber artist for thirty years, preferring the tactile medium of yarn material or fiber of some sort. I have made tapestries, rugs, coil baskets, crocheted wall hangings, plaited ribbon banners, and reed basketry.

I have been a fiber artist for thirty years, preferring the tactile medium of yarn material or fiber of some sort. My present artistic obsessions are jewelry and art quilts. My husband is an architect, and some of my quilts are influenced by Frank Lloyd Wright's style of stained glass. These pieces go well with the mission style which has been so popular. I also create Bargello and landscape style quilts. My jewelry is made from semi-precious stones, crystals and art glass; with sterling silver findings. [ hide] |
