Since then, I painted for personal growth and accumulated more and more pieces which I saved and kept for myself. I began using my painting as a means to express my emotions and as a therapeutic release. Sometimes the pieces reflected my feelings and experiences and at other times I chose to depict the emotional experiences of those around me. I sought to portray man and woman at their purest and rawest levels. I wanted to show the human experience, life, God and everything in between on an emotional plane. Being a poet as well, I decided to combine my words with images, thus my poems with my paintings. Some of my pieces are of the human form alone, while others merge poetry with the human form.
