Other than attending a workshop for colored pencil and a few drawing classes, I have been teaching myself. Working creatively gives my life purpose and my goal is to use my art as a vehicle to bring positive energy into our chaotic world. My work is based mostly on intuitive guidance rather than intellectual ideas. I try to step out of the way and allow the piece to develop on its own.

For 7 years I worked in ceramics and I used to carve geometric patterns into clay forms. In 2002 I bought paper and colored pencils and I have been drawing ever since. Lately I have been compelled to use pastels and it is slowly becming my medium of choice. [
