I am a passion filled person whose art reflects how I have lived my life, in broad strokes. My paintings are vibrant with color, texture, and resonate to the frequency's of the theraputic essential oils that I mix in with my paints. I call my technique "Energy Art" because each oil has its own frequency(energy) which appeals to the person it was meant to help. I began painting after a fall in 2000, which caused a Traumatic Brain injury. My life totally changed. Since speaking and walking were not something I could rely on in my day to day life. I began to paint as part of my rehabilitation. It helped me with my depression and adjusting to a new found life or as I put it then no life. After about 2 years I took some college classes, my art teachers found my work to be original and unique. Some have said my work is like Van Gogh meets O'Keefe. I appreciate their point of view and "Thank Them". I now reside in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico. I traveled all over the country for 20 years and now God has planted my partner and I here. I have been a holistic healer, massage therapist, Truckdriver, construction worker, and Reiki Master/teacher now I am just me. I do what I am called to do, which is working with my oils, helping others, and painting. My passion for paint began as a small child watching the paints go down the sink swirling and creating different colors and designs. I no longer have to be something in order to have some worth as a humanbeing. Art is a healing modality I used to heal myself, and my paintings have changed the lives of countless others. Of course, working with YLEO's helped me get back the function I have today.
My first gallery show was in 2002 in Bay St Louis MS. I have sold many pieces across the United States and I am now showing in The Faubourg Marigny Gallery book store in New Orleans, La. and also at The Turtleback Oasis in Truth or Consequences, NM. I hope you enjoy my pieces but mostly enjoy your life!
