My wooden utensils are made to last a life time (with just a little care). I have done several tests on my wooden utensils to see how they stand up to being used on a daily basis. One test that you might find interesting. I took an Osage spoon and put it in boiling water and left it there for 3 days (yes you heard right, 3 days) all I did was add water and boiled some more. At the end of 3 days the spoon was (to my surprise) EXACTLY the same as when I put it in, the only thing that changed was the color (it was darker). it did not crack or get fuzzy. Try that with your wooden spoons and see what happens. My utensils Never get fuzzy, if they ever do, send it back to me and I'll send you another one free of charge, and I'll even pay for the shipping, can't get any better than that.
The next test was: submerging a spoon for a month in water. The result was, the spoon was still smooth and not harmed.
The next test was. (I knew this test would be the last one I had to do) I left a spoon outside to see what the sun, wind and rain, heat and cold, would do to it. Other than being darker in color, it was still smooth and not harmed...

In The description of each item I share with you the time it takes to make each utensil, I want you to see the time involved . They are not massed produced, (I make every one from beginning to end) and very labor intensive to make. There is 22 separate steps in each utensil. Great care is taken with each step of the process, that insures the end quality of the finished product. please note, the times listed with each utensil does not include the time spent finding and harvesting the trees, sawing into lumber, storing and drying, and designing them. I am VERY selective in the trees I harvest...
