Joseph Catanzaro's work has been highlighted in several solo exhibits, as well as national invitationals. As an artist he prefers several serial styles, rather than constricting creative expression. Many of the modern masters have been his guides for exploration. From Picasso's works he has re-styled Cubism to a more lighthearted feel. From abstractionists like Mark Rothko, he has explored soft ethereal painting style that characterizes much of his abstracts and dreamscapes.

Catanzaro has been painting flowers for quite some time. With his "Red Poppies" he combines painterly textures, glowing colors and whimsical shapes and lines. Oriental poppies, with their rich red petals, velvety patina, and thin delicate stems grow around much of the world, swaying in the gentle breeze. It's those scenes that he conjurs in his mind's eye and paints in a truly unique fashion.

The artist has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting. His works are in hundreds private and public collections around the world. [hide]
