Benjamin Grew up in the small town of Priceville Ontario, where there was often little else to do but draw the most intricate portraits a young boy could possibly attempt. Drawing from a young age, combined with an equally strong interest in videogames lead Benjamin to Toronto to study digital media and 3D animation at Seneca College. After graduating with honors, Benjamin then studied illustration at Seneca College where he graduated, again with honors.
It was during his final year at Seneca that his love of fine art was revitalized in the form of figure drawing. Upon graduation, Benjamin immediately began experimenting in a variety of media and techniques. It was not long before he found his definitive style and began producing his largest and most creative pieces to date.
Frisch’s work maintains a consistent theme of concern and love of our natural environment. Combined with his unique, poetic titles, the Prayer For Mother Earth Series for example, not only has a strong visual impact but when read in order, the titles form a poem that makes a strong statement regarding the condition of our planet.
Benjamin’s social conscience continues to inspire his artwork and push his visual creation to a new level of dialogue with the viewer. To this day, Benjamin continues to live, work and teach in his home of Toronto.
