This collection shows off the compelling colors and strong sense of composition of Peter Worsley’s paintings. His warm, empathetic, portraits and occasional figurative art, are often tied into an underlying story, captured with feeling, interaction, subtlety, and humor. Using both abstract and natural settings, much of his recent work is painted in the studio using oil on canvas. He mixes his colors from a few lightfast pigments. This often results in portraits with colorful backgrounds and bold painterly details.
