********NBC RECENTLY PURCHASED AN ORIGINAL PAINTING*******************************
LOOK FOR IT ON THE HIT TV SHOW LAS VEGAS IN DANNY AND DELINDA'S MASTER BEDROOM!! (PAINTING FIRST AIRED ON THE TV SHOW ON THE JAN 18TH EPISODE)
Thank you for taking the time to get to know a little bit about us. We are both self taught artists. When my husband, J was 30 his faux painting career took off. I became his right hand so to speak, and for the next several years we were full time faux artists, working exclusively for high end designers. We were introduced to a whole new world. Not only did we gain an appreciation for interior design, but also a great admiration of fine art. Although I could appreciate all styles, I was always drawn to abstract paintings. I would study every stoke in great detail, trying to understand the process an artist would go through to achieve their masterpiece.
After years of admiring private collections and going to every art show and gallery we could find, I had to see what would happen if I expressed myself on canvas. I painted every free moment and then some. Finally after about one year I really became comfortable with my personal technique and style. J insisted I show our designers my work. She gave me the best compliment a self taught artist could wish for. She bought a piece on the spot and commissioned a second. Both pieces were for her clients vacation home, who just happened to be the owner of a “little” luggage company known as Samsonite. Needless to say we were inspired.
We had a workshop and a showroom in FL where we would spend all our free time bouncing ideas off each other & creating things together. J has always had a passion for creating functional art /furniture, from concrete and steel tables to contemporary platform beds. After years of faux painting he finally joined me and began to paint on canvas, and was amazed at how natural it came. Although we paint separately, every piece of art has plenty of each others input. We are each others worst critic, yet biggest fan.
Through the internet we have sold all over the United States, and to several other countries. Our art was recently in the Duncan Gallery in Hudson, OH. However, we enjoy the mass exposure we get from the internet. We are now full time artist, selling primarily to private clients, designers, and internet collectors. We really appreciate all of the support that we’ve received from our customers. Thank you very much! Your business means a lot to us!
