No More Excuses - Start your Blog Today
Barney Davey, author of How to Profit from the Art Print Market is someone who I've seen around the web at various art related sites, and someone with a lot of knowledge and more importantly the ability to communicate his thoughts well. He has two posts on his own blog that will give everything you need to get started. (except the will power to actually sit down and do it!)
Post 1:
Why Every Artist Needs A Blog
which leads to;
Ezinearticles.com's 'How to Create an Artist Blog'
And Post 2:
A Year of Blog Topics for Artists - No Reason to Hold Back Now
which gives you a years Worth of topics, so that you can't use the "i have nothing to write about" excuse.
Seriously, you can make the time to write once a week and there's no telling what may come from it. At the very least you can link back to your work on Boundless and write about us and you might get featured here :)
Best of luck to all,

How many of our artists on BG
have Blogs? What are the down sides of this endeavor? So much information already out there......!

I've got no idea on the number of boundless bloggers, every now and again we get a google alert that someone has written about Boundless and discover another artist's blog. I bet its a decent number.
The only downsides to blogging about your art i can see, is the time investment. But a once a week blog really should take up less than a couple hours between posting and comments.
I've actually got some ideas about helping our artists' blogs, and even personal websites, but our programmers are already uber busy, so we'll have to be a little patient :)
I'd love to see some links to blogs, if have one and your reading this...
Luke,
I think everyone must be asleep!
I bet most artists don't have blogs. It is enough to keep this web site up-to-date along with the necessary painting and outside marketing. I personally feel like there are 2 worlds of art sometimes. And they rarely talk to each other. I suppose after a bit more time......new ways of promoting will continue to sprout.
Meanwhile, I have just organized a new promotion for the Christmas holidays. I thought that might be more worthy of my time than building a blog just yet.
Perhaps at the beginning of 2008 things will have evolved a bit more. So keep us informed.

Janeice,
You're too right about the two worlds of art not speaking enough. We would love for everyone connecting here online at Boundless to be able to connect in the 'real world', and I've seen a few rare cases where they have. But I suspect what we need is more real life friends re-connecting here, and then sharing the benefits with others they know...
Next time you strike up a random conversation at an art show, tell everyone to check out Boundless and add you as a friend. So, you can keep in touch and sell some more art :)
