The New and Improved Artist Showcase

The artist showcase on the homepage now has a slideshow and zoom features. It still chooses pieces at random to display first, but gives guests the option of looking at all the pieces in the showcase (in fact it slides automatically to capture attention) and the zoom allows more works to be seen at a time. We think its better for all parties.
As always your toughts, comments, and concerns are welcome.

Studio Tours

An old post
by Peter talked about the studio tour, but it hasn't been the most popular feature, yet...
Nelya Shenklyarska
was the first I noticed with a nice video up. The idea came to us about the time Google purchased YouTube, and online video is still a hot topic. Plus, adding videos gets the artist's name and boundlessgallery.com out in front of more people.
Just wondering if you think it's a good idea that just hasn't caught on yet, or is it cool but not functional?
Your thoughts, comments, and concerns are always welcome,
Luke

*You have to be on facebook to see that group, but anyone should be able to view the MySpace group.

Just another way to help BoundlessGallery and our artists :)

Who has the stuff?

Interesting article I ran across in Time Magazine's website. My favorite part is
the U.K. daily The Guardian has published the results of a survey of 6400 Brits who were asked to name their top ten "arts heroes"... I don't know how you'll feel about the news that Banksy scored higher than Picasso.
I had to go look up who Banksy was, it is a little mind blowing that he is more of an art hero then Picasso. Fame can be fleeting.

Certificate of Authenticity on Boundless

Our free feature that allows artists to create Certificates of Authenticity (COA) is now up. It is free to both buyers and sellers. To get started the artist goes into their account and signs up for the program. There is special icon, that is placed in the detailed view of the participating artists, once the artist signs up.

When a piece sells, the artist prints the COA and signs it. The COA is included in the shipment to the customer. We have generated a special number, that allows the customer to verify they have a valid Boundless Gallery COA on the website.

We feel a COA, signed by the artists, has real value to art buyers and that every artist has a better chance of selling art, if they participate in our COA program.

It is free, the customers value it, it is very easy for the artists. We think it is a winner.

What do you think? Would a COA make you more likely to buy? Are there things we can do to make it easier for the artists? Let us know.

"Woman in Art" from YouTube.com

This is a little piece of art. I realize it isn't the end all and be all, but I found it clever. Kind of reminds me of rap music, where you take someone else's work and make something new.

The Boundless Team writes about what's new at BoundlessGallery.com and other art-related topics.
