Layers, Layers, Layers a presentation at Bluestem Missouri Crafts opens June 1. The work of three fiber artists, Ruth Walker and Leandra Spangler of Columbia, Missouri, and Jenna Weston, Ava, Missouri, will be featured.
The show is presented in conjunction with the International Surface Design Association’s MIND + BODY Conference in Kansas City, May 31 – June 1.
Bluestem will highlight hand-dyed wool felt by Walker, contemporary basketry by Spangler, and Visual Haiku by Weston.
Layers, Layers, Layers will be one venue on a post-conference fiber arts tour that also includes stops at the University of Missouri’s Museum of Art & Archaeology and Bingham Gallery, the Columbia Art League, Boone County National Bank’s galleries, P.S. Gallery, Poppy and Orr Street Studios.
Bluestem is located at 13 South Ninth Street, Columbia. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday thru Saturday, 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.
