I am a 47 year old retiree. I painted when I was in my teens and did not resume painting until January 2006. By June 1st, I had over 75 paintings and my wife encouraged me to show some them to a local gallery. I took 4 paintings to them and they liked them all. On Sept. 1st, I had a one day show at McLeods here in Knoxville, TN. I took 20 of my favorite painting and sold 9 of them in 4 hours!! On Sept. 1st, I had a one day show at McLeods here in Knoxville, TN. I took 20 of my favorite painting and sold 9 of them in 4 hours!! Since then, I was a featured artist at The Basement Gallery in October and November 2006 and the Agora Gallery in February 2007, and I had a booth at the World Bazaar & Craft Show at the Knoxville Convention Center on February 23-25th, 2007. I also participated in The Big Art Show in Knoxville and Murfreesboro, Tenn.

My inspiration to resume painting was the pain and suffering in the Gulf Coast Region as I watched Hurricane Katrina destroy so many lives.
