I decided once I read about how it was done not to do it. I guess I just need to make sure my work gets to my collectors undamaged. Pluss the sides are painted anyway and it's wired and can be hung without a frame. So if they later decide to have one they can shop around. A middle man with my work makes me to nervious.

Most of my work is already framed because the matting (where needed) and framing is part of the look of the artwork itself. I buy 8-ply museum mats and whitewash maple frames wholesale. In some cases I embellish the frame with metallic paint or small medallions. A customer could never frame with the gallery quality I offer on their own for the same price. Howeevr, I think I need to convey that better on my site.

Just a bit of info for those who do canvas "Gallery Wrap" framing, or wrap around framing. I've found that floaters give the pieces a nice touch and look more polished, especially when delivering a diptych or triptych. Of course it all depends on the size of the piece, but I just purchased
3 32x36in. black floaters at 50.00 ea. Not bad...in my opinion! :) Just a suggestion.

Hey Iris,

Log onto PictureFrames.com then hit "Metal Frames" and click on Canvas Floaters. I used the 718BLK.

I wonder if the framing feature of BG is selling well? I have not seen anyone sold a piece with that.
