Found it. The link is www.alumadesigns.com (with an "s")

Tres cool! I have bookmarked it and will study the frames later. Very original ideas!

Thanks for the link!

I received the frame order this weekend for the first time. I shipped the unframed original to the assigned facility. I'll let you know how it goes because no one has shared that experience with us yet. It's a bit different than the regular order for sure.

Momoko,
I think a lot of us will be interested in hearing about your feedback on this one. Thanks for sharing.

The thing is that I was not given a contact information to the framer so I had to call the company's main phone number. The agent who took my call didn't even know that their company works with BG. So I had to explain the whole thing and left a message and my phone number to the person who was not available.

I didn't realize that it was an online framing company so when I shipped my artwork to them I forgot to mention that it was BG's order and I didn't even include the order number. The COA and packaging slip are in an envelope.

I was not given any information on what kind of framing and matting the customer ordered. So it's the framer's job to connect the framing order and what he received from me. Hopefully he will call me back soon...

Another puzzling thing is the shipping. I put the tracking number into the order system. I know that when the item is delivered the tracking number will kick in and registered it as "delivered."

The framing order with BG is non-refundable. So maybe when my art is delivered to the framer, I get paid even though the framed art has not been delivered to the customer? Or do I have to wait till the final product is delivered to the customer?

I did speak with someone at the framing facility on Monday. They are on "alert" because this frame order via BG is so unusual.

The tracking number I put into the order database had disappeared. I think if you get this order you are not supposed to enter the tracking number for the shipping of your unframed art to the framer.

But I do recommend to make two packaging slips - one for your customer and one for the framer so they'll know exactly what it is for.

Momoko,
Sounds like an important thing to do.....2 different numbers to be able to track twice. Luke.......is that possible or do you have any other ideas?

The artwork was delivered to the framer on July 16th. I called the framing company today and found out that they are going to ship the framed work today to the buyer. I asked her to email me the tracking number of shipment.

I think the artist has to be on top of it to make this framing option work. I had to be a bit aggressive in order to get the extension number and name of the person who is taking care of this order.

The fact that the framing is complete as of today is impressive because a lot of framers can make you wait a bit more.

I think the buyer perceives the entire buying experience as buying from me and BG, so I consider getting on top of it as a part of my responsibility.
