I will say it in every thread: we cannot give nudes a bad rap. I live in Oklahoma, and things are WAY conservative. I would take my nudes completely off of Boundless in a second if they were to be grouped with porn-worthy images. If people don't like a demure side-of-a-breast image, they need to move along and read an art history book. My young nieces/nephews/students see my work in my home, and their parents know this and have no qualms. But yes, there is a limit to what is acceptable/offensive on a family-friendly site.

If you read through all the comments, I don't think you will find anyone who has given nudes a 'bad rap'. Ashley. There has been a lot of mix-up about that.

The 'limit' is our real concern. Glad you agree :)

Just want to say I've read this, am in agreement that something needed to be done. I personally would like a place to display my T-Zerz, a totally separate area, not in my main gallery page. I really don't want to mix the subjects, I have religous family, friends and youths who I don't want to share T-Zerz with. But my husband is scoring way too many of them, simply bc, I won't put them in with the rest. Well I will wait and see what you decide to do. I like nudes, in a colony where they belong.

I just came across this. What do you guys think? I think this is a newly listed piece....

"Sexy Dagger" by Fenton Ayres

description:
Vampiress reclining with a dagger to her lips, a slight hint of blood on chest and an ecstatic expression on her face.

I think that censorship to any degree at any level is the beginning of a large, complex book of rules, counterproductive of the reason anyone displays their art online. Why not propose building a wall around the borders of the United States?

I think BG made it clear with the recent changes what type of site they want BG to be. It is now up to us to decide if it is the type of site we want to be on.

Life is about choice. We all spoke our opinions and BG came up with a viable solution.

Having and ongoing debate is likely destructive and certainly counterproductive to creativity.

Ive made my peace with the site. I know exactly how I will use it for now. And I am doing just that......

I sent a short message to Fenton and he was more than willing to add the filter and apologized for any discomfort.

I would suggest that in the future if you see a piece on the homepage, just shoot the artist a quick message before posting in a public group.
