I would find it very helpful if we could have a commissions file. It would help promote commission work......and not have that conflicting attachment: SOLD,etc. Lots of commissioners prefer to have their pricing private too. Any ideas out there?

The way I do mine has ALWAYS worked for me on BG and everywhere else. I have them listed "for sale" and I explain everything in the description. No one has ever been confused and I sell them very well. But that is just me. I personally think that since average Joe doesnt really understand the word "commissiion" and let's face it...it sounds expensive. That if you have a special category for them, they wont sell as well. Because they will run from the term "commission". But if it is just for sale and they like it...then they read the rest...and say o.k....and buy.

It is unfortunate if people think that commissions are always expensive. I have handled many that were just very simple but with special sizes or colors. Some people just like to know the breadth of your work. And if these commissions can be separated out of the regular works, it is easier for them to understand.

I've already added this to my mind's list, I don't know that I've heard a better suggestion than Sharon's for how to handle them for now, but give us some time and we'll come up with a better way.
