Hi Laurel, I just noticed your post about Indian ladies..I think its true that most indian moms try to teach their daughters to cook..but for some reason I got spared. I am the baby of the family, and my two older sisters got most of those cooking 'lessons'..I was permanently viewed as the baby and was only asked to take care of the decor part of any of party we had at home..:-(.. |

Thanks Jennie , So its about the same with federal CanadaPost that is now (think since jan23rd or so cause my sells of 2007 weren't shipped , arriving in usa, by Usps...) but ouf! Now it is so it is much more easier with the tracking number to uploading on our Order's page!
Jennie, think we all got liitle trick here and there -devilish us artist hahahaa , so ! Do you inssured more than 200$ example for a $600 - 500 paintings?
I used to, but by getting friendly with the post office gentille demoiselles;o) i quickly learned that package insured for more than $200. and o cents are automaticly "inspected" when arrived at the destination's country..90% usa! That means a certain add delay of 2,3 days before the collector/s are receiving their purchase. so now i'm carefull about it and will not inssured for a $300-400 sold painting but caus i'm stressful about the " package shipped crossing borders", i'm easy stressed tho;o])- but maybe i've stopped on "urbans legends" about artists bad experiences... i do beleive that some been "lost" by shipp.Companies but , anyhow i still inssured for an order of 400$ and more even if i know that will ( as the federal post office's staff told me ; its about 50-50 of the $200 inssured package and more ) ...even know that will takes an additional 2,3,4 days . At least, if "something happens" - prayin my God that won't but hé what can i do more than that!!;o)
Thanks for Sharing Jennie ps: I realy Love your Art Work Jennie , Original, unique, powerfull, inner peacful , sometimes sensuals either and also efficace! Love it. Ciao Have an Inspired and inspiring evening Boundless Gallery's Friends - from Montreal - Yan D.Soloh Solohmonde.oo2-oo3 |

Hi Manjiri:
I do cook a lot more now, and much better too..but it would still be great to get new recipes:-)..and yes, Divya, my mom-in-law seems to like me more than most mom-in-laws because she is admittedly a much better cook than I am, even now, especially when it comes to Indian food..I do cook more of other kind of cuisines though, like thai, italian and middle eastern, my little selling point to the hubby who goes on about his mom's cooking..you know how that goes... |

I use Australia Post's express courier international service. it's expensive but much cheaper than UPS or FedEx. I pay on the order of $80 for a standard painting instead of $300. it ships in about 3 days and is taken over by USPS after it reaches the States - the tracking number is still valid - probably similar to most government run post agencies I guess.. This is one of the few AusPost international options with a tracking number.

Thanks Yan for your kind words,
Unfortunately I know nothing about shipping US, living in Switzerland. I can't post or produce large canvases at all at the moment, since Swiss post costs about three times as much as American post. We will probabably be moving soon, so I hope to produce larger canvases soon. :) Laurel. |

Hi everyone, is there some friends who are using (due to, in part , the extrem high price of shipping companies) , are using other shipp company than the 4 we have to? i'm half lucky to be using Federal Canadapost xpresspost-usa shipp., that is relayed by usps after the borders... but the da_n Borders, lets talk about it ; it can takes few hours to 4 days before they released my package to usps post services for 90% iof my Us's costumers! - A Lonely Canadian - Have A Inspiring One Everybody!- Yan |

Hi Laurel...sorry to hear about your father....it is good that you have a good husband...a woman can go through any pain in her life if she has an adorable husband!! hope painting also keeps you busy !!
and yes you are correct , it is hard to believe for an Indian woman not to cook...infact cooking there is the main source of everyone's life......they are passionate about cooking and can do anything to develop their goodwill in the family ...i feel those ladies who does not know to cook are lucky since they don't have to struggle to keep their name in the family...so you are lucky Aradhana , your mother in law will not plan to cut you off from the kitchen....there will always be something for her to teach you...:)
