Art Marketing
In this group, I will post interesting articles about marketing your art, opportunities, interesting websites for artists, tips etc. When I was starting my career as an artist, I have to say that I soaked up as much of this information as possible and it really helped me out. I would really like for this group to be interactive, so please share your advice as well as any articles you find & opportunities.

How has using the $1/day front page thing worked for you? Anyone love it? Hate it?

Hi Kimberley,
Regarding to selling on boundless alone :
Sales on boundless are slow at first.. so what i would recommend to start is having good prices, people love to pay small $$ for big formats. Once you've sold enough, then you might just get to the top sellers page, once you're there, sales come in alot easier. I average 2-3 sales per month on boundless, but I can't say my prices are cheap, if I sold bigger for less, I could probably rack in alot more sales. I chose not to mass produce paintings though, that was my choice, I would rather produce quality than quantity. But if you are looking to make the big bucks, you better stretch your own canvas, make big formats and sell for less. Of course I have not checked out your work so I can't make a clear judgement, but if your work is appealing, you should have success if you follow those guidelines.

I've only been a member of Boundless for a week now. I would like to ask some of the more seasoned members in this art marketing group: how are the arts sales going on this site for you? Can this kind of dialog be posted? Can we discuss marketing ideas about other sites too? Just want to make sure I say within the boundaries of boundless...... I'm looking for artists who like to paint castles to sell on their work on consignment on my Castle paintings web site. If interested in selling castle art originals or lithos, please reply for details. We are looking for a new featured artist.

Hi Iris,
Thanks for your reply. Yes, I've just ran all the anti-virus stuff through my computer, just to be on the safe side. I'll contact Boundlessgallery as well. Thanks, Laurel Moore.

Laurel, I never seen anything like that, it may be something on your computer, some adware or a virus. You may try to clean your system, but just in case, write directly to boundless by clicking on the "contact us" link at the bottom of every page, that will insure a faster reply.

Hi again,
It's really bad now. There are constantly flashing games and porn being advertised. It's very off-putting and it hurts your eyes! Help!
