Since it seems to be a bit slow in the groups in general, I thought I'd start a new discussion on How Many Sleep Until..

This "discussion" started with a few people in the Printer discussion (obviously a much more serious one) And, I thought I'd throw it open to the floor.

Laurel needs about 220 sleeps before she gets her house In Switzerland no less.

I don't need any more sleeps, got my printer yesterday!

And so the excitement grows.
Add to it, if you like. Laughter is good for the soul (and creativity...I'm sure)!

Good idea.
My goodness you worked out how many days : 220. You are right, discussions have dried a little. Sure its because you americans are sucking up all the good weather over there now! Hope you are having fun with your printer. I hate reading instruction manuals though, don't you? Kind of get that sinking feeling. Wishing for pictures and more pictures.

Also,
don't know how many sleeps before I can begin gigging here with a new blues band. I am practising all the time (in between painting) It's a day I can't wait for - though I know I'll probably be so nervous. I am starting jazz voice workshops in September. Then, we begin doing open concerts to the public. From there? Who knows? I love to sing SO VERY MUCH. When I sing (or paint) everything in my life seems to ground itself. Telling me that nothing else (except family) is important at all. I love that feeling.

Wow Laurel, counting sleeps until you can sing the Blues!
That is very exciting! My husband was/is a drummer and his father was a drummer. When our son came along he wasn't allowed to play the drums! Ah, that is how it goes!

I just wanted you to know I am having fun reading these but for the life of me I can't think of anything to add!

Yes, it is exciting Jitske.
A drummer, that's great! Does he like to drum to swing/blues? And why wasn't he allowed to play the drums? Was it too noisy?

I think he can play any style, although he started out as a ceiligh drummer than a "pop" group.
Poor Kevin wasn't allowed to play, since his dad didn't want him to get side tracked and become a (destitute) musician.

Oh, 11 more sleeps until we fly to Ireland! Rented a cottage in Culdaff. A 5 min walk to the pub, and 15 min to the beach...yes, great location, we do have our priorities straight! LOL Can't wait!

No more sleeps...the big day is here.
Guess this "thread" didn't capture the imagination of the masses. LOL
I'm off into the wild yonder. So wild, I won't have access to a computer!
