Siu O,

Well I'm glad to hear that!

Freckles are just like the ones we have in our skin, but these ones grow inside of the eyes.

I worked for many years in a old time photo lab, and the light that comes out of the Kodak printers is amazing, and that's one of the reasons for the freckles.

Ofelia Uz,

Thanks for your info. My doctor hasn't scan my eyes but my eyes are not swollen. I don't know what are frekkles.

I have seen the doctor again yesterday. He says the infection is cured. But there are still some red veins in the white area of my eyes and I feel my eyes are dry. He says that is due to over work not due to disease. If the eyes are infected, there is adnormal secretion.

Siu, did the eye Dr., did any scans on your eyes. I asked because that happened to me years ago and he found that I have frekkles inside my eyes which I get an exam every 6 months, because they can turn cancerous.
I'm not trying to scare you, but asking won't hurt.

That is inflammation of the tendons of the eye. You should eat foods to bring the inflammation down like: Ginger, Fish and Pineapple. You can also take supplements of ginger, fish oil and bromelain. These can help you heal quicker.

Hope you heal quickly and feel better soon!

Hi everyone,

My eyes are infected and doctor says it is Ophthalmodesmitis ( a very long name :p). Does anyone have it before? Does it take a long time to recover? Eyes are very important to an artist. =x

Hi everybody,

I'm kinda sort of new to this whole online art selling business or actually the art selling business in general and I'm having some trouble pricing my pieces. I try to take the amount of time I spent creating it and the costs of the materials I have used in consideration and come up with a price that way. But I'm not sure if that is the way it should be done. I have done 4 1/2 years of art school and they never talked about stuff like this so I have no idea where to start :S

Dear Sharon,Elizabeth & Catherine,
Thank you so much my friends for sharing your experiences generously with me. I really appreciate your help.
I have gotten many cameras but I had to work with photoshop anyway, now I see it's a common problem. What a relief. ;-)
I'll definitely buy one of those cameras with some lenses and the book you mentioned Catherine.

Love,Hengameh

Hengameh--

I use a Sony DSC-F828, and I LOVE it. I shoot my paintings indoors using studio lights with a "daylight" full spectrum compact fluorescent lamp. I purchased both the lights and the bulbs from tabletopstudio.com. My camera also allows me to set and customize the white balance for daylight, tungsten, etc. Mimimal tweak in photoshop as Elizabeth and Sharon mention.

Steve Meltzer has an excellent book--"Photographing Arts, Crafts, and Collectibles" which is a great resource (and includes how-to's on studio light tents.) Book is on Amazon.

Good luck!

Catherine

Hengameh,

I too own a Nikon D70. I have a bunch of different lenses with it, but the one that comes with it as an outfit is perfectly suitable for "regular" use and taking images of your paintings. And yes, depending on when (time of day/cloudy or sunny) and where I take the picture of my paintings, I always need to tweak it just a touch to bring out the color more. But a very good camera. You may look at the versions below it as well if your looking for a less expensive camera, like the Nikon D50.

Hope this helps! Good luck!
