Cesar,
I'd love to see you doing your thing in pastel colours. Usually you use very intense, primary, which is great, but I'd love to see the same dreamy effects in pastels! :)
Great image of you up a ladder, makes me laugh. Best regards, to your wife. |

Good morning Laurel,
Ha! Yea, it is funny, especially whenever I lose my balance,
which I've done several times being so engrossed in the process. Thanks for the tip, I'll try some more pastel colors next time and see what result I get. Could be less "In you face" and more subtle. Who knows, I may find that I even like lighter shades.
Thanks, Kim sends her best. She's still plugging away at her manuscript, trying to put away some $$$ for an editor and what not. She really appreciated your assistance!

Divya,
Good morning. "Mystic Woods" is a beautiful painting. Almost looks like a photo until you look close up. The fog effect is great, moody.
You and trees have a meaningful relationship, no?

Divya, your so sweet! Like I had mentioned on your message canvas, painting what you truly enjoy painting produces good artwork. Your satisfaction and pleasure is projected onto canvas, and what is best is when other people like you see what I saw and enjoy it as well. Thanks! |

Manjiri,
I did not see your question till now. My Pure Water series is on YUPO. I custom mix pigments with glazes and I have handmade my brush for those. They really do look 3D in person like moving water.
Thank you for asking. |

Elizabeth, I love your comment about painting what you truly enjoy producing good artwork. I've tried to paint in methods that just don't come naturally to me, that are difficult, and that I don't enjoy, and the paintings never look very good. They never flow. It's a very interesting point. |

Hilary, I've found painting things that I think someone else "might" like isn't very satisfying. I've recently put a bunch of my stuff as the Featured Artist in a local coffee shop. As I put them up, I didn't feel proud of them, and realized I didn't want them on my own wall. That was a slap on my own face. That's when I realized enough, unless a specific commission, I will paint things that I truly enjoy and will proudly put on my own wall at home. My "Fog in Wliderness" series is just that for me. I have some commissions to do first--which is a good thing, but I can't wait to get back into the series. I've never had this much passion for my artwork until now. As a young artist, I was searching for the magic formula, I think I've found it, in my own heart... |
