Is there alot of African art to be seen in America, I suppose a lot of Arts and Crafts can be found, but how about fine art. I live in a very small town in S.A, where not a lot of 'art' happens, there a lot of artists about, but we never seem to meet. Artists in U.S.A seem to have it all, big cities, exhibitions etc, plenty galleries etc., it's hard for SA artists to really get anywhere. |
A few years ago I heard that African art is the hottest thing in art market in New York. Since I have no tie to New York I have no way of knowing it as a fact, but I got that info from a very reliable source.
But it's about two or three years ago, so maybe it's not the same any more. Like I said I know nothing about New York. |
