Send emails to past customers.

Hand out business cards to EVERYONE...EVERYWHERE you go.

Have friends and family tell others about you and direct them to your site.

Try to get local mags and newspapers to do an article about you and use your BG link.

Advertise in community bulletins and church bulletins. Schools often offer ad space in their newsletters for cheap.

Have a My Space account with a link. Or Facebook.

Blog.

I just called mine and talked with a journalist. It helps if you have an "angle". Like in my case, I went from disabled to earning a full-time income with my art. After I told her how I did it, she was interested and called me two weeks later for a complete interview.

Search Engine Optimization is challenging, but it is effective. I do that with my ResinJob.com and see increase in traffic. I don't get hundreds of hits because the site is only for epoxy resin for fine art, but before I optimized it, I hardly got traffic from search engines so I know it is effective.

Sharon, you are amazing with your replies. Some of these I never thought about, and I'm sure going to try!

I also sell my art through my other job. I just hang my art in my office, and people buy right off the wall. I did try a co-op gallery, but that did not go well at all.
