My Collections PiecesMy Collections Pieces and Lists

This section of My Collections is devoted to saving your favorite pieces you find on BoundlessGallery.com. The best part of My Collections Pieces is that you can share your discoveries with a friend by organizing your favorite pieces into lists.

My Collections starts empty, fill it with your favorite pieces. Click the Art Finder tab above to search or click the categories link to the left. You can always get back to My Collections by clicking the My Collections link at the top right corner of every page.

How do I organize My Collections Pieces?

You've added a few pieces to My Collections Pieces, now what? Pieces by default get added to a special list called the Unsorted List. Think of the Unsorted List like your inbox in your email program. When you want to organize your inbox and place related emails together you create a new folder. Lists are the equivalents of folders for My Collections. New lists can also be created when you add a new piece to My Collections.

Creating Lists:
  • To create a list, click the "Create a New List" link in top right corner. Choose a list name, color, privacy level, author, and a short description of the list.
  • Tips: Making good lists.
Managing My Lists:
  • Once you have created a list you can move pieces to it by browsing for new pieces, or move pieces from the Unsorted List to your new list. Simply click on the "List Options" link to manage moving entire lists, emptying lists, deleting lists, and changing the options you set while creating a new list. You can also remove, move, or copy single pieces at a time by using the links to the far right of each piece in a list.

Why should I make lists?

Art buyers
Art sellers
What are the rules?
  • Your Collections will not show up on the List Search Results or any other promotional page if it contains any pieces in your inventory. These lists can still be viewed and emailed to your friends to drive traffic to your work.
  • Each list's privacy level must be set to "Viewable by all" to be seen by the public; this is the default option when a list is created.

How do I share My Collections Pieces?

Lists are the only way to share your My Collections with others. Your unsorted list cannot be shared, you must create a new list if you would like to share a list.

Prepare the list:
  • Click the "List Options" link to the right of the list name
  • Make sure the privacy level is set to "Viewable by all"
After you have a public list, 3 icons should show up next to your list's name. Click the first link to see what your recipient will see while viewing your list. Click the email link and follow the instructions to send this list to a friend. Click the RSS icon to view the RSS feed for this list.

If you find a great artist on BoundlessGallery.com, don't be afraid to add them to My Collections. This list provides a one click link to the artists bio page as well as 3 random pieces by the artist that you may have not seen yet.

Managing My Collections Artists:
  • The artists shown are listed in the order that you add them to My Collections, latest on top. To remove an artist from the list, simply click the "Remove Artist" link under that particular artists name. This list is only for your reference and not viewable by anyone else.

Removed Pieces and ArtistsRemoved Pieces and Artists
This section of My Collections is for holding pieces and artists that you no longer want to see while browsing. Login to your account to save pieces that you might have already removed from BoundlessGallery.com. Pieces or artists that you remove are only hidden to your account after you login.

Managing My Removed Pieces and Artists:
  • After you have added an artist or piece to this section, an option box will be shown at the top. The first link allows you to move all pieces that you may have removed back to your browse results. The second link toggles how your removed pieces are shown while browsing. To send a single artist or piece back to your browse results, click on the piece's option button below and click "Show Artist" or "Show Piece" from the menu.
